Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1996 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was recorded for an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is an Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway in a blog post added to the musician's acknowledgement. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding a piano in her attic and becoming enthralled by the sounds it would make. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to use music for the sake of personal development, and not for the purpose of making money or for an interest. She started writing her own songs. In addition to Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote could be used to not make her famous however, but to encourage people to realize their own value and impact to our world at large, she began performing them publicly. The piano was first played by her when she was just six and was writing her first song when she was nine. She didn't tell her family about her music until she reached 14. Aurora has never imagined becoming a star. Aurora claims she loves writing music. She believes music can make people feel more relaxed.
